Exciting New Partnership
Guitar Center, the world’s largest musical instrument retailer, is thrilled to announce its partnership with the 2020 Winter Music Conference (WMC) and Miami Music Week (MMW). As the official music instrument retailer, Guitar Center will play a key role in these renowned electronic music events.

Exclusive Pop-Up Store at WMC

The 35th Annual Winter Music Conference will take place from March 16-19 at Miami’s Faena District Resort. Guitar Center will bring its signature pop-up store to the Faena Forum. Here, attendees can review, demo, and purchase the latest DJ equipment from top brands like Pioneer, Roland, Korg, Native Instruments, Denon, and more.

Following product announcements at The NAMM Show in Los Angeles from January 16-19, Winter Music Conference will offer fans the first chance to purchase new DJ and production equipment. WMC badge holders will enjoy an exclusive early access window before the pop-up store opens to the public. Additionally, Guitar Center will sponsor WMC’s official opening party on March 16.

MMW Oasis: A Premier Industry Retreat

Guitar Center will also partner with the 10th Annual Miami Music Week’s new Oasis at the Miami Generator. Located just steps from the main WMC venue, the MMW Oasis is a five-day retreat from March 16-20. It will feature exclusive pool parties, label showcases, an artist gifting and media lounge, workshops, yoga, and daytime barbecues. The MMW Oasis is open to WMC badge holders and by invitation only.

Leadership’s Excitement

Jeannine Davis D’Addario, Guitar Center’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, expresses her enthusiasm about the new partnership. She states, “We’re excited to partner with both the Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week for the first time this year. As a leading resource for electronic music gear, we are thrilled to showcase top DJ music production equipment and software throughout the week.”

Winter Music Conference’s Perspective

David Ireland, Executive Director for Winter Music Conference, shares his excitement as well. He adds, “We are extremely pleased to collaborate with Guitar Center for the 35th WMC and the 10th MMW. This partnership will offer badge holders exclusive access to the latest DJ and production gear. Additionally, attendees will benefit from cutting-edge educational programming and events. Overall, it promises a unique experience that aligns perfectly with the new vision of WMC.”

Local DJ Equipment and Lighting Rental Service

For the first time, Guitar Center will offer a local DJ equipment and lighting rental service. Venues, promoters, and artists can rent gear from Guitar Center’s South Florida locations in Hallandale Beach and South Miami.

Event Management and Ticketing

To manage event attendance and data retention, Guitar Center has partnered with See Tickets. This leading global ticketing company will handle RSVP and ticketing for Guitar Center’s experiential activations and week-long events.

Program Development

Guitar Center’s Miami program is developed by North American entertainment marketing and PR firm UG Strategies. UG Strategies will manage all experiential and sponsorship activations, as well as artist relations, creative direction, and publicity for the brand.
