Motorco Music Hall Reopens with “Live in the Lot”
After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Motorco Music Hall is finally reopening. Local firm UG Strategies is launching a new weekly outdoor series called Live in the Lot. The series kicks off next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. with a screening of The Princess Bride. Though this is the only event announced so far, Motorco promises more screenings, music, and comedy every Friday night.

Unique Pod Seating for Safety

In a creative twist, Live in the Lot offers groups the option to reserve six-person pods instead of individual tickets. Reservations are available online for $60 plus a service fee. Pods are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. For added convenience, attendees can order food from Parts & Labor, located next door to Motorco.

Safety First: COVID-19 Guidelines in Place

Motorco Music Hall has taken extensive measures to ensure the safety of its guests. Working closely with the City of Durham, the event follows strict COVID-19 guidelines. The website provides detailed information on sanitation practices and attendee safety. Besides the usual precautions—wearing masks and staying within your pod—guests must fill out a health questionnaire and have their temperature checked before entering.

Looking Forward to More “Live in the Lot”

As Motorco Music Hall reopens with Live in the Lot, the community can look forward to more exciting events. With safety as a priority and a focus on local entertainment, this series promises to be a welcome return to the Durham scene. Be sure to reserve your pod and enjoy a safe, fun evening out!
