Bed Head Takes Over Miami Music Week with Exclusive VIP Event

Experience Bed Head at The Gale Hotel
Bed Head, in collaboration with UG Strategies, transformed the Gale Hotel in South Beach into The Bed Head Hotel during Miami Music Week 2013. This special two-day VIP event, held from March 15 to 16, featured a stellar lineup of DJ stars. Performances included sets by Diplo, Tommie Sunshine, Walshy Fire, Jillionaire, Audrey Napoleon, The Disco Fries, FIGO, Torro Torro, Fareoh, and Tel Aviv’s Mr. Black, who performed exclusively in the U.S. for the first time.

Day One Highlights

The first day, despite the rain, set the stage for a memorable experience. I discovered model-turned-DJ Audrey Napoleon, who was a delight behind the decks. Her high-energy trance techno beats, combined with her LA fashion-forward style, made for an entertaining set. Tommie Sunshine also made an appearance, and his set was solid, but I had to head out to my next gig.

Day Two Excitement

Day two was the complete opposite—crowded and electric. The Party Squad took over the decks, bringing non-stop energy. I spotted the Mad Decent crew and some familiar faces from the LA and NY party scenes. Parag Bhandari of UG Strategies was an exceptional host, ensuring I stayed hydrated and assisted with capturing the event.

When Jillionaire took the stage, his sunset vibe was perfect for dancing. However, he briefly halted the music to address requests, humorously declaring, “Dude, I am not taking requests. Please stop asking and don’t make me embarrass you.” Despite this, his set continued with great energy.

The Bed Head Grand Finale

As Walshy Fire entered with his entourage, fans greeted him with enthusiasm. His reggae and sultry dance tracks had everyone moving. The highlight came when Diplo and DZA arrived, causing a frenzy as they were quickly escorted to the DJ booth to close out the party. The Gale Hotel saw one of its wildest parties yet, with the venue packed to capacity.

Standout Track

One of the standout tracks of the night was “You Don’t Love Me” by Dawn Penn, which perfectly captured the vibe of the event.
